Abstract

Existing mentorship models are discussed and characterized, and a flow chart is provided to aid with mapping existing mentorship models to mentorship program needs. The purpose is to guide and inform users on which mentorship model to set up based on the desired mentorship program outcomes. This mapping process is demonstrated with two case studies: one a mentoring program for incoming first-year students and a second for faculty at career transitions.
