No.27,473-9) in Lab 2. The lab period startswith a brief discussion of the application ofBernoulli s equation to the setup and how thestandard form of Darcy s law, usually castfor horizontal flow, should be modified.Students do three separate experiments inwhich they determine static head-volumetricflow relationships ( H vs. Q) for the flowpath: (i) in the absence of sand, (ii) with abed of sand, and (iii) with a second bedcontaining double the mass of sand. Theyalso measure the corresponding bed heightsand the internal diameter of the column
