to draw on paper the relationshipbetween engineering ethics and DEI. We chose to have participants draw after having oneinterviewer practice the protocol with another. At the time, we were considering askingparticipants to use modelling software (e.g., Miro) that was familiar to them. Based on this pilotinterview experience, physically drawing on paper felt more appropriate than virtual modelling.We rationalized that drawing would eliminate time devoted to learning a new technology andthat drawing activities employ different parts of the brain than verbal responses would.
