. The surveys developed as part of this project are used to acquirebaseline data on students' environmental behavior in the Fall semester of 2021. Apart fromsurvey data collection, intervention plans were developed during this period. Twenty-two (22)students participated in the initial baseline survey from sophomore and junior-levelengineering classes. The intervention plans designed for building environmental behaviorwere implemented in Spring 2022 and Spring 2023. In the post and pre-surveys of theintervention semester Spring 2022, 25 and 22 students responded from a senior-levelmechanical engineering course. Twenty-one students (21) participated in the Spring 2023intervention semester. The survey questions developed were used to understand

The reasons cited for the conversion were articulation andequity, student success, and administrative efficiency. In March 2022, the deadline was extendedto Fall 2026 to accommodate Assembly Bill 928: Student Transfer Achievement Reform Act [2]a revision to general education in the CSU system that will include course unit requirements andwill not be finalized until Spring 2024. Full General Education (GE) course proposals cannot besubmitted until the Chancellor's Office releases AB 928 requirements and new GE template. The university timeline for completion is specified in Table 1 and was taken from AcademicSenate

this program, Virginia Tech (VT) in the United States, with support from the AmericanSociety for Engineering Education (ASEE), has developed a transdisciplinary, internationaleducation program in the area of bioinspired engineering. IRES graduate-level scholars frommultiple fields study autonomous mobility in complex natural environments, through observationand analysis of flying/gliding rainforest animals, with the help of an interdisciplinary mentornetwork in Brunei, South Korea, and Singapore. So far, a single cohort of students fromengineering, biology, and biophysics has completed the program in 2022. The first results showstudents undergo a transformative process through their interdisciplinary and internationalresearch experience in the

In one study, freshman whowere sent home during the stay-at-home orders in the spring of 2020 had worse mental healththan their upper-class counterparts, likely due to disruptions in housing [22].Students who entered college in the 2021-2022 academic year (AY) experienced school closuresand remote learning mostly as juniors and seniors in high school. This may have impacted theirability to take college entrance exams, although many universities made these tests optional for 2admission in response to the pandemic [23]. Studentswere required to read the article and leave comments by using a template. The template includeda set of questions regarding their experience of reading the article. For example: Does the articleinclude enough background information? Does the introduction begin with a hook that gives thereader insight into where the article will take you? and, does the conclusion tie back into theintroduction to summarize the main points? The idea behind using a template was to providestudents with directed guidance while reading the article, rather than leaving

challenges, another critical aspect thatmust be taken up is sharing discipline-specific lesson plans. What specifically can be done in afluid mechanics course, for example? What are some small, intermediate, or large changes thatcan be made, and what is their effectiveness? While some resources are available in variousplaces, building a network to share teaching materials and practices would help to advance thiswork more widely. This work was funded by a grant from the Lemelson Foundation, grant #22-02094, July 2022 toJune 2024.References[1] S.
