Inaddition, the revisions to ABET criterion 5 (curriculum) now include the need to address DEI [2].To accomplish part of the curricular component, we have been working on hands-on activities thatare scalable from a first-year program to upper level courses in the Fred DeMatteis School ofEngineering and Applied Science (SEAS) at Hofstra University, a midsized, private universitylocated in Hempstead, NY.
