We introduced the concept of A&A–majoritarian individuals advocating forminoritized groups–through grass-roots meetings emphasizing national and campus data andencouraging Q&A and small group breakouts. We encouraged anyone attending a conferencewhere germane workshops were being held to attend those workshops. For example, at oururging, a few faculty attended A&A sessions at a national conference (ASEE), where they heardparticipants from other universities talk about how impactful and valuable the A&A workshopshad been on their campuses. especially important in broadening the impact of this course. In the future, we hope to createan open-access repository consisting of lecture series (both long and short videos, Q&A withthose with lived experiences etc), worked out examples, sample assignments and exercises thatcan be adapted for particular courses. Below we have outlined some aspects the course sketchdeveloped through our workshop, which may be useful to instructors seeking to introducesimilarly complex topics into STEM courses. Bearing in mind that courses may have different technical focuses, we developed broadlearning objectives and outcomes that would be relevant across disciplines and could easily bemade more specific as needed:Course Aims ● Introduce students to

took high school AP courses and college mathematicaland physical training purely online during the pandemic. Therefore, the student cohort registeredin this core course may be a good representation of post-pandemic students with various levels ofprior math/physics background. In addition, the recruited student body demonstratesdemographic diversity. The surveyed course consists of two sessions, each of which is supported by an ECE Ph.D.student serving as a teaching assistant. Each session includes a weekly recitation hour to coverkey knowledge points and homework problems, as well as three Q&A hours per week.Additionally, both the Department of ECE and the College Student Success Center offer freetutoring services to students taking this

Finally, we recognize the Social Representations as a worthy frame toanalyze future studies related to understanding the common sense (similarities) of specific populations. However, this study only focused on a synchronic and overall description of the perception rather than adiachronic and detailed perspective of the representation, which could put aside some rich and essentialinformation to understand the phenomenon.References[1] M.
