Hugh Jack is a Professor of Product Design and Manufacturing Engineering at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His interests include manufacturing education, design, project management, automation, and control systems.
2013 State of Manufacturing EducationThis paper will present the results of a 2013 survey of manufacturing educators andprofessionals. The survey results will be compared to surveys from previous years, andthe trends reported. The data in the surveys include general attitudes about manufacturingeducation, underserved topics, and general comments from the educators. This paper will alsoinclude a limited set of observations and recommendations will be included.
