AbstractThis paper explores what elements and concepts should be included in a pre-college, widelyavailable digital course designed to better guide, inform, and prepare high school studentsinterested in pursuing a career in engineering. The purpose of the course is to provide a digitaltool for exploration by high school students and their advising network as they seek to gain abetter understanding of what an engineering education and career entails. As the investigationhas progressed, the potential benefit of developing separate courses for “guide and inform” and“prepare” is appearing.
