Education theme through its focus on the value that ariseswhen faculty from different disciplines (one chemical engineering, the other writing) collaborate.Here, the authors abided by the definition of “authentic collaboration,” as given by Reave(2004). Moreover, because this teaching occurred over two semesters and was part of a college-wide initiative to integrate writing into all four years, the paper demonstrated the third theme ofdesigning curricula, not just courses.
