started with a textbook sprint forfirst-year mechanics. And Site 2 was working on online problems as part of a larger revamp ofthe first-year engineering curriculum. The sites were connected by an initial request byBCcampus, an agency of the British Columbia government that acts as an umbrella body forpost-secondary institutions. The organization had identified a lack of OER options for first-yearengineering mechanics and wanted to generate collaboration to eventually put together atextbook.
