Technology (ABET) accreditation criteria forengineering programs that took effect in the 2019–2020 accreditation cycle [1] reflect an increasedemphasis in having engineering graduates that are prepared to participate in the development ofcomplex products and systems.The wide array of knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) desired in engineering professionals isevident in references such as the Engineering Competency Model jointly developed by theAmerican Association of Engineering Societies (AAES) and the US Department of Labor (DoL),the CDIO (Conceive Design Implement Operate) Syllabus 2.0 proposed by the CDIO organization,and the U.
