New engineering educators orresearchers could refer to similar cases in their design of portfolio curriculum.In most of the papers that we reviewed, the portfolios were created for a specific course (elevenout of fifteen studies). The portfolio construction could take place at the different stages of thecourse, such as in the mid-semester9, in the midterm and at the end of the course7, only on thefinal stage15, or throughout the semester8 or the quarter.9 The portfolios could also be used toreplace other assignments11 The life cycle of the portfolio creation could exceed the boundary ofthe classroom.
