only the students who scored less than or equal to 18 on the pretest, theaverage improvement is even more dramatic. The average pretest score was 14.3 for those students, andthe average posttest score was 21.4, making an improvement of nearly 50% on average for those students.This impact from a visualization training class on the PSVT:R results are consistent with past work [7].These results are particularly encouraging as they were accomplished in an entirely virtual environment.The computer-based sketching environment may be a sufficient replacement for hand sketching to improvevisualization skills.
