WhenUniversity Trustee Dennis Keller ’63 made the generous gift to the School of Engineering for anew building, the library received a new home in the Friend Center for Engineering Education.Designed by internationally acclaimed architect Henry Cobb of Pei, Cobb, Freed and Partners,Friend Center opened its doors in September 2001. The building houses high-tech classroomsand computer clusters, videoconferencing facilities, a spacious convocation hall, a 250-seatauditorium, along with the Engineering Library, for a total of 70,500 square feet.
