Students select an event in the hopes that it will prove to be beneficial. However, if theevent fails to live up to expectations, there is no requirement for the student to select a secondevent to replace the non-effective one. Consequently, the student responses here may to someextent be a reflection of the collective quality of the events rather than a verdict on the programitself. The students scored the current events quizzes as generally effective with over 61%responding that they agreed or strongly agreed. . Administering a peerevaluation tool is essential since much of the course grade will depend on the groupproject. CATME45, 46 is an easy-to-use online tool that collects and analyzes self and peerevaluations of team members’ contributions. Ideally some type of peer evaluationinstrument is administered with each major deliverable, and team members receivefeedback on their individual performance compared to the group average. Any lowperforming students should be identified by the instructor, and the team should meet withthe instructor to discuss the issue so that it can be addressed early.
