Herbert Simon, in his 1969 book,“The Sciences of the Artificial,” described design as a way of thinking. The term design thinkingwas coined by David Kelley in 1978 to encapsulate the thought processes and mindsets relevantto the design process. In 1992, scholar Richard Buchanan discussed design thinking as a sciencethat should be aimed at integrating multiple
