In this context, professional skills are defined as “skills essential to thrive in awork setting but not historically included in engineering or engineering technology coursework.”The nine professional skills surveyed were: communication skills, emotional intelligence,teamwork and multidisciplinary work, curiosity and a persistent desire for continuous learning,project management, critical thinking, self-drive and motivation, cultural awareness in a broadsense, high ethical standards, integrity, and global, social, intellectual and technologicalresponsibility.
