construct knowledge and hence deepens their learning [4-6]. Thereare ethical as well as pedagogical benefits of active learning as different delivery modes cansupport students with different learning needs [7]. There is growing evidence that studentmotivation [8] and engagement [9] play a critical role in learning [10] to the extent that studentengagement has been used as a proxy for quality of learning [11]. Hence, visions for active learningapproaches aimed at enhancing engagement need to be explored for higher education [12-13].Research in the area of game-based learning suggests that educational games are effective infacilitating learning processes and enhancing knowledge transfer. These games, traditionallydistinct from commercial games and

Review Board (IRB) conducts ethical reviews on all researchproposals involving human research participants, including the use of their personal data.Once the list of relevant stakeholders was finalised and IRB approval was granted, the secondphase began. To gather input from the stakeholders, survey forms and several focus groupdiscussions were originally planned. Unfortunately, Covid-19 pandemic struck and restrictedour approach to mainly online surveys. As such, survey forms were prepared and sent torespondents using “Verint” online survey system that allowed each respondent to receive aunique survey link via email. The response generated from each link was stored on thesystem safely.Despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, relatively

objectives andconstraints [2]. Often, students are required to balance several, at times competing, objectives. Aclassic example in mechanical applications is a high-strength, low-density material. Aside fromthe technical feasibility of the design project, students are also forced to consider businessfeasibility, environmental impacts, social, political, and ethical implications, manufacturability, and unintended consequences.Additionally, accreditation by ABET is only possible if ABET’s Criterion 5d is satisfied wherethe engineering curriculum must include “a culminating major engineering design experiencethat 1) incorporates appropriate engineering standards and multiple constraints, and 2) is basedon the knowledge and skills acquired in earlier
