recruit younger females as well as spread the word about the club. The club activities are scheduled for 10 weeks where the facilitators meet with the school-age students for an hour and a half to teach them computing principles using GWC curriculum. They also guide students through the completion of a personal project. The club served an average of 37 students every year and had about six to seven female computer science/software engineering facilitator each offering. In Spring 2023, the club was run by nine female facilitators and served 36 female students. The student facilitators ranged from freshmen students to senior computing female students. The other faculty member implemented RapidReviews into the first electrical circuits course with predominantly first year electricalengineering students during the Spring semester of the 2024 academic year.The Fall semester for academic year 2024 was the first implementation of Rapid Review sessionswith the in-person format described in the previous section. There was a desire to implementRapid Reviews at the start of each lecture; however, this was not achieved for the first semesterof utilizing Rapid Reviews. students subsequently analyze thetransient CO2 response to determine the rate of CO2 uptake by the terrarium plants given the rateof CO2 production by the soil bacteria and the diffusion rate of CO2 from the terrarium. As partof the assignment, the students are also asked to reflect on the similarities between the terrariumand the earth's atmosphere. This multifaceted project not only emphasizes fundamental chemicalengineering principles but also explores the broader context of environmental sustainability andclimate change. This activity is part of a recent curriculum change in the chemical engineeringdepartment with a greater emphasis on a larger quantity of focused laboratory activities in placeof fewer and longer unit operation experiments
