everyone on the team. When asked whether the practice of engineering was whatthey envisioned that it would be, many said that the amount of teamwork involved was differentthan they expected. Undergraduate experiences made them believe that they alone would workon a process or project, but they said that the practice is much more interdependent than theyexpected.DiscussionThe statistically significant areas where returners had higher levels of self-efficacy (Synthesizeinformation to reach conclusions that are supported by data and needs; Identify the safetyconcerns that pertain to a project that you are working on; Analyze the tradeoffs betweenalternative design approaches and select the one that is best for your project) all imply theapplication

. Universities are discovering a multitude ofapplications for IoT technology within their campuses, and the implications of this are profound. The integration of IoT promises to revolutionize operational efficiency in diverse learningenvironments.Simultaneously, informatics colleges within universities are well-positioned to educate studentson the intricacies of managing the vast volumes of data generated by IoT. Furthermore, collaborations between various departments within universities can yield exciting possibilities. For instance, business colleges can partner with engineering faculties to design IoT-centriccourses that explore the fusion of technological advancements with innovative business models. This interdisciplinary approach not only enriches the

has the opportunity to participate in these processesfor brand new programs being developed from scratch. For example, preparing for an ABETvisit just after your very first cohort of students graduates or having the privilege to develop acourse from the ground up that has been designated to meet a specific internal campus criteriaare more unique opportunities for university faculty. These rare opportunities did indeed presentthemselves at the University of Washington Tacoma (UWT) after the state authorized, andfunded two new baccalaureate ME and CE programs in the fall of 2021 and 2022 respectively.Furthermore, fall 2022 was one author’s first year back in the classroom after 28 years serving inadministrative roles and was also the first year

an overall issue that needs to be dealt with. Some of these NSF entitiesare the National Center for Next Generation Manufacturing, the Micro-Nano TechnologyEducation National Center, the BEST Center, and The Future of Work and CORD [16-19].These groups are all struggling with this issue to one extent or another, most likely from a lack ofexpertise about the topic themselves.Additionally, the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) has been involved with afairly, long-term major initiate concerning Industry 4.0 (i.e, ASEE Industry 4.0) [20]. However, that effort became dominated by four-year college faculty and really had very little input fromtwo-year faculty or relevance to the two-year college technology education mission in the
