The evolution from GPT from version 3.0, to3.5, to 4.0, which involves a significant improvement in language processing capabilities andscope of knowledge resulting in more nuanced context-awareness, including text and imageprompts, will also be considered in this study. By drawing from student assignment samples,class discussions, and user feedback, a comprehensive overview of the challenges, benefits, andthe pedagogical implications of ChatGPT in this first-year course will also be discussed. As theChatGPT technology evolves, a balanced approach that harnesses the potential of this technologywhile
