Soft skills, including oral, written, and interpersonal communications, are often the most important skills that a person must possess in order to advance one’s career. Working in large groups as a part of the undergraduate curriculum provides students with a chance to hone their people skills, which generally occurs only in an industrial cooperative education setting. • Students learned how to make informed group decisions and to deal with the ramifications of their decisions.
