Composition II 3For the Freshman Science Elective, FEP students choose between University Chemistry II (withlaboratory) and University Physics II. All eight CoE degree programs accept either course, butstudents are made aware of specific departmental preferences prior to spring registration. TheUniversity Core Elective can be any course that satisfies one of the requirements of the UofAcore curriculum in the social sciences, humanities, and fine arts.Like similar students at many of our peer institutions, a significant number of FEP students donot have the mathematics ACT score (27 or greater) required to enroll in Calculus I as a newfreshman.
