represents heat transferout of the system. From different cycles, we have:For power cycle Wcycle = Qin – Qout, thermal efficiency η = Wcycle/Qin (7)For refrigeration cycle Wcycle = Qout – Qin, coefficient of performance β = Qin/Wcycle (8)For heat pump cycle Wcycle = Qout – Qin, coefficient of performance γ = Qout/Wcycle (9) Proceedings of the 2013 ASEE Gulf-Southwest Annual Conference, The University of Texas at Arlington, March 21 – 23, 2013. Copyright©2013, American Society for Engineering EducationIn above equations the Wcycle, Qin, Qout can also be replaced by the rate form Wcycle , Q in , andQ out , which

“unstable” equilibrium position whereas at the local minima position the ball will be at the stable equilibrium.Equation (3) is actually the heart of Green’s Theorem that is given as follows:Let C be a peicewise-smooth, simple closed curve that bounds a region R in the plane5. If P andQ have continuous partial derivatives on an open set that contains R, then cPdx + Qdy = R ( Q/ x) - ( P/ y) dA ……………………….. (5)Equation (5) represents a closed curve region that for a conservative vector field represent acircle if the integral equals zero as equation (3) indicated but if it is a non-zero for a vector fieldsuch as (F=yi –xj) it can represent a non closed circle such as a spiral shown bellow (Figure 2) Figure 2

created to start with. The majorsettings for the project are shown in Figure 3. The selection, “Schematic”, highlighted with a red oval, indicates that this would be a schematic project. As an example of a circuit diagram, apositive-edge triggered D Flip-Flop as shown in Figure 4, would be created extracting circuitelements from the editor. This flip-flop circuit has one input, designated with name, “D” and another input, designated with name, “Clock”.  The single output is named as, “Q”.  This will besaved as a schematic (.sch) file associated with the project. These two inputs and one output are mapped to the Nexys 2 board in a “User Constraint File” (.ucf) file as shown in Figure 5. The On/Off switches and the toggle switches in the Nexys
