We use a tiered mentoring system in which students mentor more juniorstudents as they themselves advance along the career pathway. The pathway includes: Intensive residential summer program for incoming college freshmen Undergraduate research experiences, focused advising/counseling, career development, training in science literacy and laboratory techniques, and sponsored travel to national science conferences.
