) PosturesRe-framing around skills helps melt some of the mental blocks that isolate social considerationsfrom technical ones. Although STS Postures itself is an innovation, it is congruent with manyother approaches to developing student human potential - especially but not limited to activelearning, project based learning, dialogue, design thinking, and both dialectical and cognitivebehavioral therapy.Learning Outcomes of Workshop for Participants:During the workshop we will run a series of activities designed to cultivate a more relationalunderstanding of technology—seeing it not as neutral or isolated, but as deeply embedded in andshaped by networks of human and non-human actors, histories, and values. engineering designself-efficacy and teamwork and communication skills through participation in a design-focused,project-based introductory engineering course, which targeted the development of these areas[1]. Thus, the goals of an introductory course can shape the skills and attitudes that are impacted.Further, the effect on design self-efficacy lasted through students’ second year, when studentswho had taken the introductory engineering course reported higher self-efficacy than studentswho had not taken the course, demonstrating potential for a lasting influence [1].Reid et al. [2] developed the Introduction to Engineering Course Classification Scheme (IECCS)for mapping the terrain of the wide range of topics that could be included in
