The students in the experimentalgroups were normalized against the other students in their method. The students in the controlgroup were normalized against the control group population. The normalized frequencies werecomputed as follows:This approach was taken due to the significant difference in the size of the groups. A simplefrequency distribution would make it virtually impossible to compare the control andexperimental groups.
