Maldonado was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayag¨uez where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. During the summer of 2010, Ricardo interned at Argonne National Laboratory in Chicago, IL where he developed a wind energy assessment project for Puerto Rico. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Power Electronics from the aforementioned university while working for an aerospace company (Raytheon Co.) in Arizona as an Electrical Engineer Circuit Designer.
