AchievementAbstractThe National Science Foundation (NSF) Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, andMathematics (S-STEM) program supports low-income, high-achieving STEM students throughscholarships and tailored support services. ) Scholarships in Science, Technology,Engineering and Mathematics (S-STEM) program. S-STEM aims to increase the inclusion ofgraduates from low-income backgrounds in the STEM workforce and/or STEM graduateprograms. We administered a Post-Graduation Plans Survey (PGPS) to all participants tounderstand their post-graduation intentions and the factors that influenced those intentions.To capture post-graduation intentions, we asked if they planned to enter the STEM workforce,STEM master’s or doctoral programs or other advanced degree programs within six months ofgraduating.
