is evidenced by the diverse integration of courses(e.g. laboratory courses, design courses and professional practice courses) alongside appliedscience, the treatment of pre-requisites or co-requisites to theoretical engineering coursework,and the variation in the design of engineering degrees. It is also reflected in the institutionalworkplace conditions, industry partnerships, and resources available for engineering faculty ineach system. The issue is not just about credit hours and GE courses.
