Course 1 used a post-semester survey while Course 2 used both pre- and post-semester surveys.Course 1’s post-semester survey asked two questions related to unannounced quizzes. Both useda five-point Likert Scale format (Strongly Agree – 5 points, Agree – 4 points, Neutral – 3 points,Disagree – 2 points, Strongly Disagree – 1 point). Although individual student responses wereanonymous, the survey was administered to two distinct student groups within each class section– one to civil engineering students and one to non-civil engineering students.
