AnalysesChrisChris obtained his Ph.D. immediately after his bachelor’s degree. He interned with a largechemical company as an undergraduate and was able to rotate through different types ofpositions during his internships. His internships included research and development, end of lifemaintenance, and manufacturing. Through this experience he determined that he loved thedesign and concept phase. His research experience allowed him to be published as anundergraduate student. He also had the opportunity to attend conferences and talk to differentpeople. As he approached graduation, he was not sure if he wanted to go to graduate school, buthe applied and was accepted. He also applied for “real” jobs during this period.
