Programming) course project (freshman level) and through multidisciplinary IEEE student chapter projects & a required for-credit capstone project. 5. Provide faculty mentors for each program participant; increase the efficacy of faculty mentoring provided to each student participant in the scholarship program by faculty- mentor training and accountability. 6. Establish mechanisms for acquiring ongoing sources of funds to sustain at least five annual full-tuition scholarships after the grant is over.β6The LEAP program addresses the three following areas6: 1) The financial and educational needs of students in computer science and engineering disciplines at an open enrollment university. 2) Increases leadership

outcomes. The course description This sophomore level class is required for computer science, computer engineering andinformation systems majors in the West Virginia University Institute of Technology. The classenrollment is between 15-18 students. The class is the pre-requisite for CS 322 System Analysisand Design Methodology course which is prerequisite for CS 461 Senior Project capstone class(capstone series). In order to introduce software engineering processes and skills with respect toindustry standards the class is designed to create a real business world simulation. In the class thestudents are grouped in three membered teams and then one student team is assigned as the clientof another. Hence each group will play the role of developer for

metrics related topics are inadequately covered across the entire population of suggested courses given current standards (i.e. low population mean defined as Β΅): Β΅ ππππππππ ππππ’π = 3.2 and Β΅ πππ‘ππππ ππππ’π = 3.32. The sample of common SE courses from the list of all courses also has inadequate coverage of the critical topics required for long-term successful SE efforts. A conservative tabulation of the courses suggests that only 6 out of the list of 28 suggested courses are standard SE course offerings in most universities β namely, Introduction to Software Engineering and Computing, Software Engineering Capstone Project, Software Engineering and Computing II, Software Engineering and Computing III

software testing techniques. This preparationshould increase the studentsβ chances of success in both creating testable requirements for theirapplications as well as creating adequate test cases.CS/CMP 403 β Senior Problem This is capstone course of Computer Science at AAMU and a continuation of CS/CMP401 (software engineering). During this course, the student is expected to code a single, meaningful project started earlier in CS/CMP 401 and present the results of this project in class. This project must meet a set of standards for software design and documentation. Topics ofprofessional ethics and responsibilities are discussed in the class. Software-testing techniquesmust be used in this course on the selected project to ensure the quality
