implicitlearning.There has been little to no work done to understand how learners learn in Makerspaces, andto find or develop tools to assess this learning. In the recent ASEE conference Morocz et al.11 presented plans of measuring the impacts of a university makerspace “through engineeringdesign self-efficacy, retention in the engineering major; and idea generation ability".A study by the Maker Ed Open Portfolio Project 12 strengthens the promise of our proposal toemploy self-reflection to assess learning in Makerspaces. This work presents self-reporteddata by Makerspaces all over the United States about their alignment with nationaleducational initiatives.
