Charlie by surprise: “When you first start, you think you can just go talk to whomever, which is the way it should be. [However] it was kind of eye-opening. You have to be a bit reserved sometimes as to who you talk to, about what.”This is an important change in outlook, and shows how an organization’s culture might influencethe perceptions and behaviours of early career engineers. As Charlie reflected: “It's very toughfor you to actually learn [if] you sit there and you're afraid to ask questions.
