general education as courses in non-engineering areasthat are required to develop complete professionals. The courses are taught like any other courses and not targetedto develop lifelong learning skills. We attempted a different approach and defined liberal learning as “self-learningin self-chosen (non-engineering) areas with self-defined scope”.
