Equality in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics proved to beeffective venues for recruitment whereas the signatories of the American Society of EngineeringEducation Deans Diversity Initiative Letter proved ineffective. My perspectives of why this mayhave been the case are described in this paper.
