The course exists to introduce topics relevant to the technical manager inthe 21st century. Core topics historically covered in the course include: managementpractices, leadership, communications, project management, working in the globalenvironment, risk management, systems engineering, product development,entrepreneurship, ethics, and quality management.As part of a campus-supported course redesign effort, this high-enrollment course wasconverted to an online format in 2014.
