For those clients who embodied the ‘problem,’ projects had a different level of personalinvolvement, in which the student teams used a different language. There was a sense ofconnection and emotion in these reports. Moreover, many of the decisions made in these groupswere a yes or no decision, in that the design would or would not work with the client. Because theteam’s design directly affected one person, this instant feedback may have been a critical elementin establishing the report as decisive.
