dramatically by the end of the semester, closing the gap in spatialability initially observed between women and men at the start of the semester.Students who did not attend the workshop also showed significant increases in their test scoreshowever. This result indicates that completing the graphics course yielded similar improvementsin spatial skills as completing the workshop. The question then arises, what advantage does theworkshop provide over the engineering graphics course? If significant improvements in spatialability can be made after a 4-week workshop session, in comparison to a 14-week graphics course, that could have a positive outcome in student self-efficacy and potentially stronger learningoutcomes in the graphics course overall.
