Science. Each of the aforementioned programs is described in detail and design decisions that have beenmade to support military students will be highlighted and qualitatively evaluated. In addition tothe discussion of the program-level design, military friendly course design decisions will also bediscussed. These include key decisions to distance-enable the courses, using individuals withmilitary experience to help deliver certain courses and the use of student assistants to aid thelearning of students enrolled in the cybersecurity courses. The paper concludes with a discussionof planned future expansion.2. , engineering technology college courses. Inaddition, warrant officers operate as leaders in their units, not only providing technical expertise, but alsomanaging, planning, organizing, supervising and controlling jobs and worksites in a military setting. How does warrant officer training compare to technology or business courses in a typical four-yearcollege? This paper examines the ACE credit recommendations for ten current warrant officer specialtycourses with technology containing curriculum to compare them to typical technology courses accreditedby ABET, formerly the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology [3]. In most cases, thetraining does not warrant credit recommendations for significant amounts of technical training, but thecredit

identify, understand, and adapt to therapidly evolving needs and circumstances of contemporary SVSM.SVSM Research in Higher Education. In the post WWII era, higher education researchattended more to student veteran issues than to student veteran experiences. These issuesincluded the larger impacts of G.I. Bill assistance programs [e.g., 16, 17], curricular design andinstructional delivery needs of veterans [e.g., 18, 19, 20], provisions for awarding college creditfor past military training, courses, and experience [e.g., 17], and the types of supports needed bystudent veterans [e.g., 17, 21, 22, 23]. Few studies of this era attended to student veteranexperience; those that did so chronicled student veteran post discharge academic plans

final product was evaluated by peer teams at The Citadel. • Getting Started: Provides learner content and primers in how to use site resources, creating a profile, and registering student teams. Example successful project proposals are detailed, and students are asked to complete a resource checklist and then send all proposals to iFixit. • Milestone 1: Provides resources for the creation of a troubleshooting wiki for each device, with planned repair guides linked under appropriate sections. Troubleshooting wikis provide general device information, and require students to research known common repairs as well as anticipate repairs that are likely to be needed due to the normal wear of moving

written by veterans; not necessarily the best paper about veteran issues. • Host veteran social/service events that also involve non-veterans. One idea that gained much support during the discussion was creating events that bring veterans and non- veterans together. Rather than planning a mixer, it was emphasized that these events be focused on community service because this provides an opportunity for these two populations to work together to achieve something purposeful. • Have an ASEE presence within service member transition programs (e.g., SEP/TAP). All service members attend a transition program prior to exiting the military. These programs are often supported by colleges and universities

interest in helping others throughengineering: ...a good number of my classmates in ROTC were really excited about [it] because all of them kind of have that service streak in 'em, and so to think that one of their brethren was gonna go and do something cool like that in regards to helping the poor, there was a lot of them that were okay with it... pretty encouraging, in fact. One of them became a Navy SEAL...he was like ‘you could be a great officer, but there's a higher calling for you’, and I... it was true, I really felt a greater calling, for me, my skill set, to do engineering and EWB related things just because of the engineering....Karl’s post-college military service did not go as planned. Due to an injury, he was
