Bandura’s guidelines [17]. The survey was used twice during a semester (first week and the last week). For this instrument, the researchers used a 20-item questionnaire and suggested the possibility of three higher order factors: (a) Logical thinking skills (e.g., develop a statistical model of an engineering process, analyze data with a modeling and simulation software); (b) Communication skills (e.g., effectively communicate and document to wider audience progress through the engineering design process ); and (c) Problem Solving skills (e.g., work well with hands, think practically to find a solution to an engineering problem). As an example of a Likert-scale question about students’ self-efficacy

reflect the change. Although the TAs made students aware of the changes, thattook away time and often led to confusion. As is good practice with any teaching tool, it wasobvious that there was a need to update the manuals to accurately reflect the equipment and toolsbeing used in the experiments.Survey resultsTwo surveys were designed, one to get feedback from current and past students as well as asecond for current and past TAs to understand the main points and determine the priorities of theredesign. The questionnaire used to survey the TAs is attached as Appendix A and thequestionnaire used to survey the students is attached as Appendix B. The survey questions listedin the appendices exclude the demographic type questions that were not related

develop the prototypes/modelshands-on experience is one of the best ways that should be accommodated in traditional lectureor labs related to the course. Theoretical knowledge alone is inadequate to reach high standard ornot well acquainted with the modern designs. To meet or serve the workforce for industrystandards, the old pedagogies have to be updated along with the updates in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). In this work, we present the statistics of a typical courselab, Microprocessor based system design lab. This lab is the combination of Assembly languageas first part and C language with DEMOEM hardware as second part. The course is intended forundergraduate and graduate level students. The statistics depends on
