A conceptual framework has been developed, together with metricsand computational methods for assessing infrastructure integrity [1-4]. II is the ability of aninfrastructure system to exhibit reliability, flexibility, resilience, and adaptability. Although II isuseful for application to any infrastructure system, it is particularly applicable to electricsystems, and it provides a foundation on which to build in considering the future development ofelectric grids.
