In turn, the findings of the firststep of this research program helped to inform and shape the research question related to thesecond step. [5]. Faculty at the University of Michigan have gone a step further todesign and implement seven “biomedical engineering in practice” modules in theirundergraduate curriculum [6]. These modules are designed to be student-centered, with most ofthe experiential learning activities occurring in the classroom.
