students are placed into related tothe type of engineering degree students attained? Appendix A provides a full table with countdata related to degree selection per each track. As is consistent with the literature, studentsselecting a major outside of engineering was the most populous category for each track—containing 20% of track 1 students, 26% of track 2 students, and 16% of track 3 students. Thenext most common major selections for track 1 included: Mechanical Engineering (15%),Aerospace Engineering (15%), and Industrial Engineering (14%). The other most commonmajor selections for track 2 included: Industrial Engineering (13%), Civil Engineering (12%),and Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering (9%) along with Aerospace Engineering (9%).Track 3

now I'm taking physics, general physics one and calc two, so that way I can‬ ‭apply for aerospace by the end of the summer and then hopefully get into aerospace so I‬ ‭can take aerospace classes in the fall.‬ ‭Due to the shortened timeline, the classes would be challenging, but catching up is really‬ ‭important for students. One student expressed this when they said,‬ ‭I know it's going to be a lot, especially because there's so short amount of time, the‬ ‭classes themselves are two hours or something like that. They're long. I know it's going to‬ ‭be a lot, but I personally just really want to be back on track, which is why I'm doing it

of courses taken for CR/NC/GC vs GPA, for all students. Finally, in Fig. 13, we separate the students by their majors and check the negative correlation betweenGPA and the fraction of courses taken for CR/NC/GC. For the majors Systems Engineering,Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, and Mechanical Engineering, there indeed is a negativecorrelation as may be expected (-0.31, -0.30, -0.45, and -0.55 respectively) Figure 13: Fraction of courses taken for CR/NC/GC vs GPA for students from the four largest majors. The interesting results come from our Aerospace and Chemical Engineering majors (Fig. 14), althoughadmittedly our datasets are small. For these majors, students with a higher GPA are more likely to opt forCR
