programming amicrocontroller is introduced to help students with their two multidisciplinary design projects,i.e., a well-defined project during the first half of the semester and an open-ended project duringthe second half. The course is a required course for students majoring in aerospace engineering,chemical engineering, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. Occasionally there arestudents from other majors such as computer science and materials science. Students work inmultidisciplinary teams in both lecture and lab throughout the semester.The open-ended design project starts around week 6 of the semester.
