The areasof largest deviation below the zero-line show that mathematics (Q 2), written communication (Q12) and a willingness and awareness to engage in life-long learning (Q 17) are areas needingmore emphasis in engineering programs. This again reflects what is being highlighted in ABEToutcomes. Table 1 summarizes the main conclusions from the study. If “X (Slight)” appears ina column, this indicates the results for both New Engineers (NE) and Supervisors (S) areapproaching agreement and, thus, would be close to appearing in the “Adequate” or centercolumn.What next?Based on this study and after examining other studies in the
