migrators faced the sameproblems as students who dropped out of STEM majors (leavers) but chose another STEMmajor. A qualitative study [15] on students migrating to industrial engineering (IE) showedthat students left their initial engineering major because of negative experiences with facultyand classes, very low interaction with faculty, and change in career goals to an industrialengineer.
