Wang and Wang [9] formalized the use of Strategic Options Development and Analysis (SODA) maps – a type of conceptual model developed for operations research – as a tool for teaching systems thinking in a classroom setting. The SODA map allowed students to practice collaborative and higher level problem-solving by deriving and visualizing different strategies for a case study.
