practice, a skill set that is essential forstudents pursuing faculty careers, may also be a useful metric for graduate training more broadly.In the initial design of the course, we chose to move away from traditional assignments andassessments (such as quizzes and tests) to maximize the accessibility of the course. Given thatour course participants are graduate students with research responsibilities, reducing the timeburden for this course was a top priority. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to design alearning module for students to conduct individualized, value-based, career exploration as theyapproach graduation.
